Booking & Planning

Face painting makes a great addition to all kinds of events, celebrations and parties. It fits just as well indoors or outdoors, in smaller settings or at large events, with anything from a handful of guests to a big crowd.

If you are planning a celebration where children and/or young families are part of the audience, face painting can be a lovely addition to your programme.

International events are also welcome, I’m fluent in German, English and French.

There is no fixed deadline for booking. As long as your preferred date is still available, short-notice enquiries are also possible.

Some dates are booked early, especially weekends in the summer, while others remain available until shortly before the event. It is therefore best to enquire as early as possible.

Please send a non-binding enquiry. You will then receive a reply regarding availability for your preferred date.

Once you confirm the offer, you will receive a booking form where you can share your wishes and requirements. It’s that simple!

Aloha Face Painting offers face painting for many kinds of occasions, and each one is different. Pricing therefore depends on the type of event, the duration and the travel distance.

After your enquiry, you will receive an individual offer tailored to your wishes.

Reduced rates may be available for returning clients, full-day bookings or multi-day events.

Each year, I also take on a small number of selected charity events and may offer reduced rates or volunteer work in this context. As I receive many requests of this kind, availability is limited and decisions are made on an individual basis.

For larger events, working with several face painters can be a good option, depending on the size and structure of the event.

If needed, I can involve experienced colleagues from my network, but as they are independent artists, availability cannot always be guaranteed.

Event Process & Organisation

At events with many visitors, the face painting activity should run smoothly and efficiently so children do not have to wait too long.

A display board with a selection of popular designs is placed in front of the face painting area. These designs can usually be painted in about 5 to 9 minutes. Of course, children can also suggest their own ideas.

A queue is formed, and children are painted one after another until the end of the booked time. This structured approach makes it possible to handle a large number of visitors smoothly.

The time needed per person depends on the chosen design: detailed full-face designs, which are especially popular at smaller private celebrations, can take up to 12 minutes, while quicker designs for large events can be finished within just a few minutes.

A well-lit area of about 4 m² is needed for the face painting setup. A parking space close to the venue should also be available or communicated in advance, ideally within about 100 meters.

Everything else is brought along and set up by me, so there’s nothing you need to organise. If you’d like me to use tables or chairs already available on site, that’s absolutely fine — just mention it in the booking form.

Yes, this is generally possible, although a shaded area is preferred. If this is not available, an umbrella can be used as sun protection.

If the activity can no longer take place due to weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong wind, a protected area must be provided. At temperatures below 15 °C, face painting must take place indoors.

No, supervision is not provided. The face painter does not take over parental responsibility.

However, she will help maintain a calm atmosphere and aims to prevent arguments, accidents or damage as far as possible.

Face painting is suitable for children aged 3 and over, as the paints used are approved for this age group.

Boys also love participating and usually find something they like among the many designs, from animals and fantasy characters to dragons, monsters or superheroes.

The offer is mainly aimed at children, but teenagers and adults also enjoy face painting depending on the occasion, for example at themed events, sports events, carnival or Halloween. They often choose more subtle face designs or motifs on the arm or shoulder. Everyone is welcome to take part!

General Information

Only high-quality, skin-friendly, water-based professional face paints are applied. All products are dermatologically tested, meet current safety standards, and are widely used in the theatre, television and film industry.

The face paint can be removed easily at the end of the day with mild soap and water or baby wipes.

The materials used are also suitable for sensitive skin. The glitter used is made of 100% polyester and contains no metal or glass particles.

Hygiene and cleanliness are a top priority: brushes and working materials are cleaned regularly, the water is changed several times during the event, and all tools are thoroughly washed and disinfected after each booking. Children with contagious illnesses or visible skin irritations are not painted for hygiene reasons.
